Partita a Scacchi di Marostica a Personaggi Viventi 2024

Ogni anno pari si rinnova a Marostica la leggenda della Partita a Scacchi a personaggi viventi e della bella Lionora.

La stupenda Piazza degli Scacchi di una delle più belle città medioevali d’Italia fa rivivere la vicenda della figlia del Castellano Taddeo Parisio e dei due giovani Rinaldo d’Angarano e Vieri da Vallonara che si contendono la mano della bella figlia del Castellano.

La leggenda, tratta da un testo di Mirko Vucetich, risale al 1454 e ai tempi della Serenissima, presente a Marostica con il suo Podestà Taddeo Parisio inviato direttamente da Venezia.

Il castellano decise di concedere la mano della figlia Lionora a chi dei due contendenti avesse vinto una partita al nobil gioco degli scacchi, concedendo in sposa allo sconfitto Oldrada, sua sorella ancora giovane e bella.

I giocatori, oltre 600 persone con costumi dell’epoca offrono uno spettacolo suggestivo, arricchito da effetti scenici e fuochi d’artificio, cavalieri e ballerine, giocolieri e mangiafuoco, commedianti e musici, spadaccini ma soprattutto dai cittadini di Marostica.

Primo spettacolo venerdì 6 settembre 2024 alle ore 21.00 e replica sabato 7 settembre 2024 alle 21.00domenica 8 settembre 2024 alle 17.00 e alle 21.00. Ad ogni rappresentazione possono assistere circa 4000 spettatori, accomodati su tribune, con posti a sedere su poltroncine numerate. È necessaria la prenotazione con anticipo.

La Partita a scacchi viene proposta da oltre 50 anni con una cadenza biennale.

Every even year in Marostica, the legend of the Chess Game is celebrated with living characters and the beautiful Lionora.

The beautiful Piazza degli Scacchi of one of the most beautiful medieval cities of Italy brings to life the story of the daughter of Castellano Taddeo Parisio and the two young Rinaldo d’Angarano and Vieri da Vallonara who compete for the hand of the beautiful daughter of Castellano.

The legend, taken from a text by Mirko Vucetich, dates back to 1454 and at the time of the Serenissima, present in Marostica with its Podestà Taddeo Parisio sent directly from Venice.

The castellano decided to grant the hand of his daughter Lionora to whom of the two contenders had won to the noble game of chess, granting in marriage to the defeated Oldrada, his sister still young and beautiful.

The players, over 600 people with traditional costumes offer a suggestive show, enriched by scenic effects and fireworks, knights and dancers, jugglers and fire eaters, comedians and musicians, swordsmen but especially by the citizens of Marostica.

First show on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 9.00 pm and on Saturday 7th 2024 at 9.00 pm, on Sunday 8th 2024 at 5.00 pm and at 9.00 pm. At each performance, around 4000 spectators can be assisted, accommodated on grandstands, with seats on numbered armchairs.
